You need at least one exceptional spec to break into this business. But you don’t need to live in LA. For the first time, Script Anatomy is offering its popular TV Spec Lab ONLINE with long-time instructor Aaron Vaccaro.
The TV Spec Lab is where Script Anatomy writers finesse their specs for submission - to agents and managers, and to the TV Writing Fellowship Programs.
This 4-week intensive class is run like a professional writers’ room and requires **2 weeks prep before class begins**.
Using Script Anatomy’s tools, you will work at a pace expected in the TV industry. This means developing and writing your script within 4 weeks, with breaks in between for outline and draft.
It will require devoting time outside class to writing, homework and, at certain points, reading other classmates’ material to give feedback. Every writer is expected to participate: to read materials, pitch ideas, give notes, and work together. In a professional writers’ room, you must participate if you want to keep your job! Working this muscle will benefit you.
As our alumni attest, this unique curriculum provides invaluable preparation for your first job writing for TV.
We strongly recommend you register at least two weeks early to ensure completing your prep work on time.
Required: Televisionary or equivalent experience (at least 2 scripts).
Instructor: Aaron Vaccaro
"Aaron’s passion for bringing out the best in his students’ work is apparent from the first moment you meet him. He masterfully guides you toward a stronger script, facilitates collaboration, and makes sure you have a blast while doing it." -- Haley Bartels, MFA Screenwriting Fellow at AFI
