Eileen Jones is a drama writer, originally from Houston, Texas.
A staff writer on FOX’s LETHAL WEAPON and member of the 2016-17 Warner Brothers Writers Workshop, Eileen’s first writerly gig was interning at Texas Monthly magazine, where she ended up tasting and describing tortillas for their food critic.
Since, her career has taken a different—but no less satisfying—path. She assisted Vice President Joe Biden in the final leg of his journeyman Senate career, earned her master’s degree in creative writing with a screenwriting focus from the University of Oxford, and upon moving to Los Angeles, assisted Kathryn Bigelow, prepping Zero Dark Thirty.
As she pursued her television writing career, Eileen made a name for herself as the go-to ghostwriter for many A-list directors, crafting 250+ treatments for short form, feature, documentary, and television projects. Since 2015, Eileen has taught Script Anatomy’s Televisionary Writers Workshops and Draft Intensives. She loves sharing the Script Anatomy tools with new and returning writers!
Eileen is represented by Paradigm and Skyway Entertainment.
“Coming from features, the Script Anatomy tools for developing a TV pilot were eye-opening. I now understand TV in a way I hadn’t before, and Eileen Jones was an inspiring sherpa! Supportive, clear, and insightful, she got to heart of the matter with honesty, enthusiasm, and thought-provoking questions. Script Anatomy’s Televisionary workshop changed the way I develop for TV, and working with Eileen has made me a better writer, hands down. I can’t recommend her highly enough!”
– Judith Lutz, 2016 Black List Staffing Book Writer
“Eileen is incredibly passionate about the material. She manages to always find redemptive qualities in your work, regardless of how much fixing it may need. She’s thorough, direct, and her advice is spot-on. She encourages collaboration and engenders a space that is both supportive and honest, which is extremely difficult to do. I always felt comfortable receiving and giving feedback in her class and I know it made the material that much better because of it. I highly recommend her and Script Anatomy!”
